SIRIM is the only institution that conducts certifications in Malaysia. Any factory or company can submit an application to SIRIM and undergo an audit and obtain recognition in accordance with the recognized standards under the product certification system. These certifications are voluntary, but in many cases, mandatory certification may be required due to the requirements of government regulations. Many different types of products in Malaysia are required to comply with the requirements of the IECEE CB system. The MS mark and the ST mark are the voluntary and mandatory safety marks respectively for products exported to Malaysia.
The following entities are eligible to submit the CB certificate and test report: domestic or foreign manufacturers, or agents authorized by the manufacturer.
The following documents need to be submitted: a copy of the CB certificate and a copy of the CB test report.
