GB/T 19719 - 2005, GB28485 - 2012 Nickel Release Limit Requirements
| Since the requirements for nickel release in China and the EU are currently different, products to be tested can be divided into the following two main categories, with the corresponding limit requirements as follows: |
| 1. For products used for ear piercing or piercing of any other part of the human body, which are removed or retained during the piercing wound healing process: 1.1 China: The nickel content in the total mass must be less than 0.05%. 1.2 European Union: The nickel release shall not exceed 0.2 μg/cm²/week. |
| 2. The nickel release of products in long - term contact with the human skin must be less than 0.5 μg/cm²/week. |
