Service Background

EMC testing, also known as Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), refers to the comprehensive assessment of the interference level (EMI) and anti-interference ability (EMS) of electronic products in terms of the electromagnetic field. It is one of the most important indicators of product quality. The measurement of electromagnetic compatibility is composed of the testing site and testing instruments.
The purpose of EMC testing is to detect the impact of the electromagnetic radiation generated by electrical products on the human body, the power grid in public places, and other electrical products that are operating normally.
Electromagnetic compatibility is a discipline that studies how various electrical equipment (broadly including organisms as well) can coexist without causing degradation under the conditions of limited space, time, and spectrum resources. It includes two parts: electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic sensitivity. Electromagnetic interference testing measures the magnitude of the electromagnetic wave signals generated and emitted outward by the device under test when it is operating normally to reflect the strength of the interference to surrounding electronic devices. Electromagnetic sensitivity testing measures the ability of the device under test to resist electromagnetic interference.

The number of the EMC Directive is 2014/30/EU, and it came into force on April 18, 2014. The old EMC Directive 2004/108/EC will be repealed on April 20, 2016.
