GB/T 33390 - 2016 Footwear - Determination of dimethylformamide as a restricted substance present in footwear and footwear components

GB/T 38401 - 2019 Leather and fur - Chemical tests - Determination of dimethylformamide content

The EU: (EC) No 1907/2006 (i.e., the REACH regulation)

On November 22, 2021, the European Commission published the amendment to Annex XVII of the REACH regulation ((EC) No 1907/2006) - Regulation (EU) 2021/2030 in the Official Journal. A new item 76, N,N - dimethylformamide (DMFa), was added as a restriction requirement for substances or mixtures. This amendment came into force on the 20th day after its publication in the Official Journal.

● General limit for textiles: 500 ppm;

● Limits for materials made of polyacrylonitrile (PAN), spandex (EL/polyurethane, polyimide, and aramid) and coated textiles: 1000 ppm.
