Scope of Application

1. These measures apply to the production, sale, and import of electrical and electronic products within the territory of the People's Republic of China.

2. Electrical and electronic products mainly include, but are not limited to, the following 10 types of equipment and their supporting products:
(1) Communication equipment
(2) Radio and television equipment
(3) Computers and other office equipment
(4) Household electrical and electronic equipment
(5) Electronic instruments and meters
(6) Industrial electrical and electronic equipment
(7) Electric tools
(8) Medical electronic equipment and devices
(9) Lighting products
(10) Electronic cultural, educational, arts and crafts, sports, and entertainment products.

3. Some electrical and electronic products will be added to the compliance - management catalog for the restriction of harmful substances in electrical and electronic products. Electrical and electronic products included in the compliance - management catalog should meet the limit requirements for the restricted use of harmful substances in electrical and electronic products and be managed in accordance with the conformity assessment system for the restricted use of harmful substances in electrical and electronic products. Products outside the catalog are only required to meet the marking requirements.
