Bisphenol A - BPA Testing

Bisphenol A, also known as BPA, is an organic compound with the molecular formula C15H16O2.

In industry, BPA is used to synthesize materials such as polycarbonate (PC) and epoxy resin. Since the 1960s, it has been used in the production of plastic (milk) bottles, sippy cups for young children, and the inner coatings of food and beverage (milk powder) cans. BPA is everywhere, present in mineral water bottles, medical devices, and the inner linings of food packaging. Every year, 27 million tons of plastics containing BPA are produced worldwide. However, BPA can also cause endocrine disorders and threaten the health of fetuses and children. Obesity caused by cancer and metabolic disorders is also thought to be related to it. The European Union believes that baby bottles containing BPA can induce precocious puberty. Since March 2, 2011, the production of baby bottles containing the chemical bisphenol A (BPA) has been prohibited.

According to American experimental researchers, bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical commonly found in plastic bottles, may cause cancer and other functional disorders. In addition, BPA can disrupt the function of human hormones and potentially harm growth, development, and reproduction. Although this conclusion has not been confirmed by authoritative departments, it has caused consumer panic among some informed consumers.
